Each Collector Booster contains 15 Magic: The Gathering cards and 1 Traditional Foil double-sided token, with a combination of 5–7 cards of rarity Rare or higher and 3–5 Uncommon, 3–6 Common, and 1 Land cards. Every pack contains a total of 8–10 Traditional Foil cards and may contain 1 Surge Foil Box Topper card.
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Collector Boosters are the only packs that may contain Serialized Ring cards, including the Serialized Elven, Dwarven, or Human Sol Ring cards, and The 1 of 1 Ring (Serialized 001 of 001) card. Only one card has been printed of The 1 of 1 Ring card, printed with a captivating Traditional Foil treatment and ring-inscription flavor text. This card can only be found in an English-Language Collector Booster and the odds of a Collector Booster including The One Ring (Serialized 1 of 1) card is <.00003%. Collector Boosters may also contain nonfoil or Double Rainbow Foil Serialized Elven, Dwarven, and/or Human Sol Ring cards. The odds of receiving a Foil Serialized Sol Ring are as follows: Elven ring art <.01%, Dwarven ring art <.025%, Human ring art <.03%. Non-serialized Ring cards are mechanically identical to their Serialized versions.
Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws. '

Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face. '

Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches , creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects. '

Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and /or tearing. '

Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears.
